Access Control System 

Access control system is electro mechanic system that computer/software control the hardware and manages access through the authorization or revocation of rights to physical or logical assets within an organization.

An access control point can be a door, garage door, turnstile, parking gate, elevator, or other physical barrier, where granting access can be electronically controlled.

These services have become an integral part of the design in any new building infrastructure however many civil design companies simply lack the needed resources for these designs and look for partners to assist with doing the ELV design for them

Today access control system collaborate with other systems as security systems, intercom system, surveillance camera (CCVT) and other smart switches in the organization (as heating and cooling, lights, and DC items).

There are many card technologies including magnetic stripe, bar code, and proximity.

 Also available are key-fobs, which are more compact than ID cards, and attach to a key ring. 

Biometrical systems include fingerprint, facial recognition, iris recognition, retinal scan, voice, and hand geometry.

 The built-in biometric technologies found on newer smartphones can also be used as credentials in conjunction with access software running on mobile devices.

Door Sensor – Optional for alarm system monitoring

Controller– TCP/IP networking from 2 entry to 100 entry and 10,000 to 30,000 users. Most of The control panel save few hundred thousand events/transactions using the board internal memory.

Wiring – Using Plenum-rated cable 22 gauge / 6 conductors should be used whenever wire is run above a drop ceiling when the area above the ceiling is used as an air return for the HVAC system. If there is no drop ceiling or if there is a ducked air return, plenum-rated wire is generally not required.

Integration of the security systems with access control system, CCTV system, and intercom this system can communicate via: same networking, controlled and updating each other for any event.

For example, when an intruder alarm is activated, CCTV cameras covering the intrusion area are recorded at a higher frame rate and transmitted to an Alarm Receiving Center.
